I had this issue on a Macbook Air that I was playing with today. The Bluetooth mouse had stopped working, and after checking the batteries etc, decided it must be an issue on the Mac itself. I had a look around and tried to find a fix but sadly, just like any old trusty Windows system, a reboot was the simple fix for this problem. Mac users tout about how stable the platform is, but in reality it is just as stable, or unstable as Windows can be. I also have to run updates on the Mac’s around the place just as often as the Windows boxes..
You probaly could have restarted the bluetooth Daemon from the command line
The stability thing is an amusing argument from mac users. Even back when I was using a classic they used to crash all the time. I think a large part of the issue is that macs are primarily used by designer type folk that have no clue about how computers actually work. All they do is regurgitate the marketing hype from apple. I have avery high end editing system which only has FInla Cut Studio installed how ever this still wil crash at random moments and If i am not careful I can lose significant amounts of editing work. My worksaround fro this is to auto save every 60 seconds.. I would expect a single purpose machine (that cost >11k) would be rock solid. But alas this is not the case
