We moved a google mini device with a live external IP from the data centre to our office.

I wanted to change the IP address of the device so that we can access it internally, but by logging in to the console I found that I could change everything BUT the IP address.

What I had to do to fix this was plug a network cable into my laptop and into the ORANGE port on the back of the google mini device. My laptop was given an IP address by the built in DHCP server with a 192.168.255.x IP address.  If you then open a browser and put http://192.168.255.1:1111/  into the address bar, it will take you to a configuration page.

At the bottom right hand corner, click on modify and follow the steps to change the IP address!
